together by our Newsletter EditorLesley
Crawford and our FounderBob
Ebdon. "Talking Point" contains
valuable
information for the cp artist, showcases gorgeous work executed in cp,
tips, tricks, workshops and other news and articles, and is a
newsletter you will wish to pick up again and again... Our new editor
is Ann
Holden and the person who puts it all together
in Publisher is Peter Weatherill.

This issue is Ann's first and is a shorter one due to the inserts of
entry forms for two exhibitions and two sheets of sample papers from RK
Burt UK Ltd. The featured artist is appropriately our out-going editor,
Angela Cater, and other articles include a survey of sharpeners by
Peter Weatherill, introductions to new Exec members, workshops and an explanation of the new rules for exhibition entry.

Well, guess what? Issue 27 was NOT Angela's last issue, and she has
come back to fill a gap - Thanks Angela! This is an "exhibition

Paper, and features artist Joan Batty.

This issue contains a step-by-step of a tiger by featured artists Eric Pouillet,
and a report on the "World of Coloured pencil" Exhibition at Keswick.
It has details of the 6th Annual exhibition and AGM, and the Society's
stand at the NEC in November. It profiles member Shirley Leslie, and
some of our overseas members. The usual Workshops and Local Groups
sections complete another bumper issue.

Society. There is also an agenda for the AGM, along with details, and
the usual information on Local groups, workshops and future events. Yet
again, pleas for assistance feature strongly!

Goudie as the featured artist, an article from Ann James Massey
on Creating an Original Composition, all the news of the Keswick
exhibition, and a Landscape Demonstration from Kristy Kutch with

Coloured Pencils". Also, Lesley Crawford reviews
the new Inktense pencils from Derwent.

This
issue leads with a item on the Fourth Annual Exhibition, with
all of the prizewinners shown, and then features an article about the
new Graphitint pencils by Derwent, written by member Stephen
Ormerod, who also produced the images used in the packaging
of this exciting new product.
There
follows the minutes of the AGM, and the usual letters, news, local
groups and a short article on paper types. Another packed issue!

extra large, 12 page issue, packed with articles including the first of
"Presidents Points" from Ann James Massey.
The
featured artist is Valerie Oxley, and there is a
wonderful step-by-step of an Arabian stallion by Heather

Kitching reviews Conte Pencils, and Sophie Roger
contributes an article featuring the Christmas stamps of UKCPS member -

Peter
Weatherill writes about local group activity, and there is a

Volume 5, Issue 17
We
have managed to keep to the 12 page format. This bumper edition
contains:
Ann
James Massey's Presidents Points, and Vera Curnow,
Founder of the CPSA on international co-operation beween the two
Societies.
The
featured artist is Karen Coulson who also shows a
dog portrait on coloured paper. Karen won the Best in Show award at our
recent Keswick exhibition, and there is a full review of that by Suzi
Herbert.
Raquel
Baranyai shows a rose using mixed media, and there are pages
of news and competitions, including the results of our children's
competition, and the announcement of our Christmas Card competition. Peter
Weatherill concludes as usual with information about the
growing number of Pencil Circles that we have up and running.
