This was just one of those challenges an artist has to meet head on. So many little kernels, shining in the light – all in a glorious twist of straight lines! The outer leaves were peeled away to show the cob in all its freshness and ripeness. I also wanted to do this piece as yellows are such difficult colours to portray.
