I have been visiting Wistman’s Wood (an ancient oak wood on Dartmoor), drawing (graphite pencil) and painting it since 2003. I hadn’t been for a couple of years, but on buying a new set of pencils I was inspired to go back. I felt that coloured pencils would be ideal to draw mossy ferny twisted oaks.
