I went on a photographic day to Liberty’s Rapture and Reptile centre at Ringwood, Hants. and spent the day studying and photographing birds. I’ve drawn most of the birds I saw that day. My laburnum was in full bloom when I was drawing him and I realised his beak was the exact same colour, so I decided to put the flowers in behind him. They probably took me longer than the bird in the end!
