I have used colour pencils for many years
and have always drawn in this media since I left school and college.
I find that the best pencils to use are
Karisma colour pencils. They are now no longer available to
buy from art shops.
I find that Karisma give a good quality
mark to certain papers, cartridge paper especially.
I usually draw from my imagination and
enjoy depicting fantasy images i.e. sword and sorcery, dragons etc.
I like to work straight onto paper without
doing pre-production sketches first as I like to keep the image in mind
and what it looks like while I am drawing.
