I am mostly a self-taught artist and have been drawing and painting as a hobby for some years now. As a young girl I was always sketching and drawing, mostly using graphite pencils. Then I progressed onto using watercolour pencils. These are a great medium to use outdoors when you don’t want to carry lots of equipment around with you, or if you want to include a lot of detail in your paintings.

My preferred mediums are watercolours, watercolour pencils, graphite pencils and occasionally pen and wash.

I like to use clear bright colours in the subjects that I paint, which can be landscapes, floral, birds, still life, seascapes and portraits.
