I quit training as an art teacher many years ago because I couldn't face the idea of bolshie art students! Nevertheless after a long career in Nursing and Early Years education I found myself shanghaied into tutoring three pupils for GCSE Art at the small private school at which my real job is running the Infant and Toddler room... All three got respectable passes and I found myself itching to get back to doing my own artwork! I have always loved detail and being in tight control of my work. Over the years I have worked mainly in calligraphy, illumination, miniatures and even tried icon painting using egg tempera (scary!) I rediscovered coloured pencil a while ago and I'm really enjoying finding out what I can do with it.
