I chose this composition to capture the adrenaline, emotion, excitement and pure anticipation felt by the drivers before all hell lets loose on the circuit. It was the drivers’ level of concentration, totally focused on the task ahead, that was the determining factor that led me to include close up shots of the drivers emotions just before the lights change.
