The
selection process is now well under way for
our Fourth Annual exhibition. Because we expect,
as in previous years, to have entries from
our overseas members, we have renamed this
our International Exhibition! Key dates and

the Gallery, or confirm other arrangements,

On this date, 4th September 2005, we will
hold our AGM at the Stable Gallery, and our
President Ann James Massey will give a demonstration
on how to render realistic eyes. Prizes will
also be presented, including the new Presidents
Award, picked personally by Ann James Massey.
Several
points above delight us, and we hope you also.
First, many thanks to Ron Swanwick for making
his new Gallery available to us for this event.
This is the first time we have moved away
from Nottingham, so we hope it will give other
members more chance to see the works. Plans
are in hand to move to another venue next
year. Second, many thanks to our jury for
volunteering to select our show for us. We
are extremely grateful to Bernard Poulin,
author of "The Complete Coloured Pencil
Book" and founder member of the CPSA,
to Graham Brace, well known Pembrokeshire
cp artist, and to Chris Christoforou, one
of Derwent pencils chief demonstrators. And
finally, many thanks to our President, Ann,
for instituting a new cash Award and for offering
to give a short demonstration at the AGM.
If that doesn't persuade more members to come,
I don't know what will!
If
anyone wishes, they may download full details
of the Exhibition, and an Entry Form here,
in Adobe Acrobat pdf format. Please remember
though that, this year, entry is restricted
to members of the Society only. So join
us!
