Situated on Calle Mercaderes in Habana Vieja
(old Havana) this shady building is located only a few doors away from the
Hotel Ambos Mundos where Ernest Hemmingway lived in 1939 before deciding to
settle on the island of Cuba. The leaves of a tree cast shadows over the façade
of a typical Spanish-colonial style building in this unusually quiet backstreet
where local schoolchildren enjoy the shade.
