Pencils: Faber Castell Albrecht Durer watercolour pencils
Paper: Dale-Rowney fine grain line and wash board
On a walk by our local stream, it was the
contrast of the rich warm colours of the willows against the clear cold blue of
the sky and the pattern of the cast shadows that made this such an interesting
subject. But as the dry pencils did not provide the right effect, they all had
to be made into washes and, with the exception of the sky, be painted on with
fine brushes.
