We are proud to present the online version of our 5th Annual International Open Exhibition, 2006, which will take place at the Darryl Nantais Gallery, Linton, Cambridgeshire from 2nd to 30th September. Click here for directions and how to contact the Gallery. The jury of Bernard Poulin, CPSA, Karl Backhurst, Gallery owner, and Stephen Ormerod, selected the following paintings, which will be on sale in the Gallery. Prizewinners have been selected by judges at the Preview Evening, Friday 1st September, 6pm - 10pm, and presentations will be at the AGM of the Society. This will be held in "The Crown", High Street, Linton, from 2pm on September 30th.

The initials "UKCPS" after a member's name indicates that they are Signatory members of the Society, having had pictures exhibited in three exhibitions within a five year period. The initials UKCPS indicate Silver Signature status - five pictures accepted in 10 years - and UKCPS indicates Gold status - 10 pictures in 15 years.

Please click on each image to see an enlarged version for more detail. You will open each image in a new window.
Please remember that the copyright to each image belongs to the artist, except where otherwise noted, and they should not be downloaded without written permission.

We start with a very special picture by a very special artist. Bernard Poulin is famous the world over for his contribution to the cause of coloured pencils, and his support of the Colored Pencil Society of America. There can't be many coloured pencil artists who have NOT read his book - " The Complete Coloured Pencil Book" - and marvelled at his work, especially his portraits of children. He is an incredibly generous supporter of the UKCPS as well, and has this year sent us one of his coloured pencil studies, which will be on show at the Gallery, but will not be in competition. It will be raffled off, with the winning ticket drawn at the AGM being able to walk home with a Bernard Poulin Original!!

The UKCPS is pleased to announce that the winning ticket, drawn at the AGM belonged to Suzy Herbert, who is now the very proud owner of this Bernard Poulin original. Many congratulations to Suzy, and many thanks once again to our generous sponsor, Bernard Poulin.
